There is no doubt that Roland TD's electric drum is known as very natural sound drum. The sturdy construction V-drum series which support your performance on stage or to have an exercise. In this article, I want to show you how to change the sound pad on drum Roland TD. FYI, I use Roland TD4KX2.
What I mean here is to replace the default sound pad with other instrument which provided by the Roland TD module. For example, the sound of snare on pad 1 originally is "maple 2" than I want to change to "steel", or cymbal on pad 6 which initially "medium 16" than I want to change into "chimes" or maybe "tambourine". Ok, lets start, how to edit drum sound Roland TD.
1. Select the sound bank where you want to edit or change sound on it, eg sound bank 1, then press "MENU".
2. The first menu appears, namely "INSTRUMENT", please press "OK".
3. TOM 01 means that the current pad that is ready to be edited is a tom 1 or tom left pad. How about the other pad ? Please look to the next point below (point 3).
4. To edit any pad, all you have to do is hitting the pad first using a hand or stick to go to the pad that you want to change the voice. 1 for pad snare, 2 for pad tom 1, 3 for pad tom 2, 4 for pad tom 3 or tom floor, 5 for pad hihat, 6 for crash cymbal pad, 7 for cymbal ride and 8 for pad kick. Automatically the current pad editing on the screen change according to the pad you hit, than it is ready to edit.
4. In this case, I want to change the instrument on the tom 1 pad, So I first hit pad 2 or tom 1 then I turn the knob to look for other instruments to replace wood 12 ", I try wood 16".
5. Finally, press OK.
6. Done.
